#ColdplayLouisville | Back Home Again: #ColdplayLouisville

If you follow me on Instagram, then you already know that I saw Coldplay in Louisville on Wednesday. When I found out that they were going on tour in the spring and that they were going to be so close, I was determined to be at one of their concerts. Alan does like them so he told me that he would go, but if I wanted to see if one of my friends who likes them wanted to go instead to go for it. So, my friend Sarah came with me. We left work early and drove over to Louisville where we explored 21c, a really cool hotel/art gallery before heading to dinner. I got a tour of 21c Lexington during a work meeting and it's a really cool hotel. There's an art gallery in the hotel and all the rooms also display art. Plus, almost each location is in a rehabbed historic building.

After dinner and drinks at the Troll Pub, located under the bridge to Indiana, we headed over to the YUM! Center (the name makes me laugh every time haha) for the concert. Some chick called Foxes opened first who neither of us really liked and she was followed by Alessia Cara. I had no idea who she was, but she does have several songs on the radio that I recognized. Then finally, FINALLY, Coldplay!

This is the third time I have seem them in concert and each time they get better and better. The lights, the music, Chris Martin...amazing! I wish I had taken my camera and not just my phone because the photos don't do everything justice!

They played a lot of stuff from their latest and newer albums, but also a lot of their earlier stuff, including almost all of my favorites. For part of the concert they came out to this tiny stage just below us - Alan said they did that when we saw them in Philly, but I don't remember. It was great to be so much closer to them!

We had so much fun and Alan was so right - the concert was so much better with someone who actually likes them!
