I always used to look at my grandmother in wonder because in her 90 years, she witnessed the advent of the television, computer, mobile phone, cassette player, cd, dvd, mp3...technology has been going at warp speed. Brands (myself included) have been taking advantage of this for ages too. I have said this before, but I'll say it again. Utilizing the current technology is key in getting consumers (or in my case, readers) to visit a store or website. It's so crazy how in even the last 10-15 years, the use of mobile devices and social media has skyrocketed, for example. I remember when Facebook was just for college students...that doesn't seem like that long ago!
So, what is the future? The following infographic shows just how fast and how far technology has come and gives some predictions about what marketing trends to expect in the future. Hopefully you find it as informative as I have!
Good job on your healthy routine. I had this bad rash on my feet. For years my doc would give me cortisone cream but said it was fungal, nonchalantly and it sometimes never goes away. It got so bad I finally skipped the GP and went to a dermatologist and yes, it was fungal but it was very infected that she biopsied it at that moment. I am now on two anti fungal creams and orally and she predicts it could take from 6 months to a year. Happy you figured out your problem.
ReplyDeleteSteroids will make a fungal issue go crazy...I learned this the hard way! I finally went to a dermotologist about the rash I had last fall, but by the time I was able to get in, I had gotten it to go away. Luckily this time around, I pretty much knew what it was and what to do to get rid of it. I hope your issue clears up sooner than that!
ReplyDeleteI hope the rash gets better soon! good job at going to the gym and eating well!
ReplyDeleteActually, the steroids seemed to help it, the itching especially. Glad your issues cleared up! Mine takes longer because I have an immune disorder. Thanks for responding to my comment.
ReplyDeleteGood job meeting your goals so far! That is awesome! I hope that rash gets better soon!
ReplyDeleteMe too. I am SO over this stuff!
ReplyDeleteI started C25K and have managed to keep up with it so far. Every time I have tried, I get through maybe week two. I am determined to run my 5K this year!
ReplyDeleteyuck! sorry about the rash. and you're so right about "take the steroid creme and get out." Is that all they've got?
ReplyDeleteIsn't it strange the way our bodies react to things? I recently got a rash on my arms. I got all worried about it and it turned out to only be dry skin! Now that I'm running our humidifier 24/7 and using lotion twice a day, it has subsided and things are back to normal. Good luck on all your healthy lifestyle changes - it sounds like you are doing all the right things!
ReplyDeleteThe last few times I have had a doctor's visit (asthma diagnosis for me, cracked rib from coughing from asthma, and a broken toe--last year was rough! ha!) I didn't even SEE the doctor. Nurse Practitioner every time. That was fine, they knew what they were doing, but I felt like I should have gotten some kind of a discount, ya know what I mean?
ReplyDeleteSo happy to hear you've been sticking to the gym 3x a week! I didn't really have many health goals. I do want to start jogging/running when the weather allow again and I would like to get rid of the rest of baby #6 weight I just haven't really found the time or motivation to be honest! Maybe I can take your lead and head to the gym!
ReplyDeleteOh no - the eczema line is the equivalent of the "it's probably just a virus" line that we get over here in the UK. I wish they would just say, "no idea, sorry!". I hope it clears up for you since you have been doing so well sticking to your gym outings!
ReplyDeleteWay to go! I'm so glad to hear that you're sticking to your health and fitness goals. I really hope they figure out what's going on with that rash :( I hate when doctors act so impersonal like that and just treat the issue and not the patient.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on sticking to your fitness goals! The eating part
ReplyDeleteis always the worst for me to keep on track with, especially when we go out of
town. I hope you can successfully figure
out the cause of your rash.
Congratulations on sticking to your goals! I was doing great with going three times a week, and then hurt my back :( Hoping to get back to the gym next week!
ReplyDeletecongrats on keeping up with your health goals!! I have been up and down with my goals this year, so I need to be more like you!! I need a gym membership too haha!
ReplyDeleteI think I did really well for a couple of weeks and then fell off again. This has been my issue for years now. And on top of it all, I complain about not losing baby weight. The baby is 3 years old now, ughh! I must get disciplined and do better. Congrats on sticking it out!
ReplyDeleteSometimes I feel that the NP is better than the doctor. It's like since they don't see as many patients, they can actually take the time to try to really help you.
ReplyDeleteI'm totally with you on the "baby weight." My baby is two!
ReplyDeleteIt's so frustrating!
ReplyDeleteYeah, I get that. She was very thorough. But I still feel like I should get a discount! ha ha ha!
ReplyDeleteI read somewhere once that NP can make more than doctors...maybe we should get the discount if we see them then!
ReplyDeleteWow! I didn't know that! I think so!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on starting up again! That stinks though that the rash is back. :/ Here's hoping you find a long-term solution soon!
ReplyDeleteGreat for you! I love hearing everyone's success stories so far for 2015! It's great that you have come so far (can you believe its the end of January already?). You just have to fight it a bit and you will get amazing results! Good luck with your rash! I have sensitive skin myself so I know its not fun..
ReplyDeleteYou go girl and who cares how many times you have to start "again". I am always starting my routines over and over and over again. IN the end all turns out great and you will always be starting something over. At least that is my opinion.
