I've been posting about our Summer Bucket list the last couple weeks, but it's all been things that involve the kids. While I love doing things with and for the kids, I'm going to be honest, I really really need to do some things that are just for myself. It's been crazy stressful at work the entire month of June, the house and yard are a mess, I can't keep up with everything I've got going on with my blog and I feel like I need another vacation...and I just got back from one at the beginning of June!

At my favorite winery before my bridal shower
1. Take a walk along the river
2. Visit Garden of the Gods
3. Do the Hoosier Wine Trail with the girls
4. Visit Satek Winery while at the lake
5. Spend a week at the lake
6. Take a long walk through Pokagon State Park
7. Go to the Johnny Appleseed Festival
8. Spend a day at the Three Rivers Festival
9. Play a game of tennis with Alan
10. Read a book in its entirety in one sitting
Will I get to do these things? Probably not most, if even any of them. A girl can dream though, right?
These look like fun! I am trying to do something for myself each month. I started out doing great but I'm behind already:(
ReplyDeleteThese all sound like lots of fun. I hope that you get to do all of these things. I wish summer would slow down!
ReplyDeleteMost of them involve being in or near my hometown, which happens maybe once a year, so I know they won't happen. Hopefully I'll get to go to Satek and take a walk in Pokagon this weekend though!
ReplyDeleteI think we should take a day and go to a few on the wineries around here... :-)
ReplyDeleteWe should play doubles some time - Randy and I love tennis too! :)
ReplyDeleteWe should! Ewan keeps telling me that he's going to play tennis with daddy but I can't because I have to watch Cecily.
ReplyDeleteThe wine trail and Johnny Appleseed festival sound fun- hope you get to do everything on your list!
ReplyDeleteJohnny Appleseed is buried in my hometown and every September there's a festival in his honor at the park where his gravesite is located. I haven't been in probably 10 years now, but it was always my favorite festival! http://www.johnnyappleseedfest.com/
ReplyDeleteThis is a great idea--moms need fun time, too! :) Here's to hoping that you get to do everything and more on your list. I especially approve of #10 (something I've been attempting to do for quite some time now).
ReplyDeleteGreat list of ideas. I would love to go for my yearly pedicure. ;)
ReplyDeleteWhat a great bucket list of things for yourself!
ReplyDeleteThere have been the books I have read in their entirety since Ewan was born. Three. That's definitely not in one sitting. And two of them were for the blog!
ReplyDeleteAnd come to my wedding :)
ReplyDeleteI like how most of them involve being outdoors, active and with family or friends :)
ReplyDeleteps: i nominated you for a Sunshine award!!
