This past weekend I decided to get creative and make some spicy tomato burgers using Red Gold tomatoes for dinner one night. We actually had our own little cookout, just us and the kids and it was fantastic!
I just mixed a pound of ground beef and ground sausage together with some cilantro from the herb garden and a can of Red Gold diced tomatoes with green chiles and made the mixture into patties. My husband, who doesn't like spicy food, gave them his approval and my daughter devoured hers too.
I topped mine with cheddar cheese and lettuce from the garden and paired it with some green beans, corn on the cob and mustard green gratin.
Red Gold is hosting Summer Grillin' Party II on their Facebook page where you can win a Big Green Egg grill and Red Gold grilling kit or one of 4,000 aprons. The contest goes through July 23!
