I got such a great response to my homemade pizza that I decided to post the recipe. Here you go!
Pizza Dough (adapted from this Martha Stewart recipe)
1 packet dry yeast
1 tbs raw honey
1/8 c olive oil
1 tsp salt
2 c flour
Pour 3/4 cups warm water into a large bowl; sprinkle with yeast and let stand until foamy, about 5 minutes.
Whisk honey, oil, and salt into yeast mixture. Add flour and stir until a sticky dough forms. Transfer dough to an oiled bowl and brush top with oil. Cover bowl with plastic wrap and set aside in a warm, draft-free place until dough has doubled in bulk, about 1 hour. Turn out onto a lightly floured work surface and gently knead 1 or 2 times before using.
I then rolled it out onto a greased baking sheet and baked at 350 for five minutes, then took it out of the oven, topped with sauce, cheese and some veggies, then put it back in the oven for about 10 minutes.
What's your favorite pizza recipe?
Yum!
ReplyDeleteOh, this looks yummy!
ReplyDeleteStopping by from Tasty Tuedays. Love that this recipe includes honey and olive oil. I'm going to have to try it but I've been nervous about making my own pizza dough. Hope you will stop by my Small Victories Sunday linky and link up to 3 posts. It's open all week!
ReplyDeleteThe first time I made my own pizza dough was pretty hairy, but I wouldn't do it any other way now. The best part about this recipe is that you can freeze it for later.
ReplyDeleteLooks delicious! We love making our own pizza dough and using it to make a chicken alfredo pizza :) I usually just let the bread machine do the kneading though lol.
ReplyDeleteLooks yummy! Pinning, because I have never made homemade pizza crust, and now, thanks to your recipe we are going to try it. :)
ReplyDeleteI love homemade pizza! Thanks
ReplyDeletefor linking up last weeks with the Tasty Tuesday's Link-up. I have finally pinned your
post to the Tasty's Tuesday's Pinterest Board! :) This is why I am having co-hosts!
