Several people I know do monthly goal posts and I thought it would be a good idea to jump on this bandwagon too. Hold me accountable and stuff :-)
So, here are my January goals:
- Join a gym and go three times a week (with the exception of when either I or Alan is out of town because it's just not feasible to get to the gym - I will exercise at home or in the hotel instead)
- Go to church twice a month
- Put $100 in savings
- Keep $100 in savings
- Host Ewan's birthday party
- Put Ewan on the waiting/interest list for preschool
- Price and tag items for the spring consignment sale
Any ideas?
Good idea! You should link up to the goals linky on my blog! And I think you should reward yourself with Starbucks:)
ReplyDeleteJust linked up! And I thought about Starbucks, but since I use some of my "fun" money every month for it plus I'm getting Starbucks cards with my Bing Rewards, I thought I should do something else.
ReplyDeleteThe Tower was the one place we didn't visit while I was there that I wanted to go to! I definitely want to go back to London so hopefully we will get to the Tower some day!
ReplyDeleteYou should! On every major vacation-type trip I have made to London, I've gone.
ReplyDeleteI like the put $100 and keep $100 in savings lol. Excellent plan!
ReplyDeletesounds good. I have to get set for my next consignment sale too!
ReplyDeleteI sure could take some items to a consignment store. Thanks for sharing. www.mylifeabundant.com
ReplyDeleteI've actually never taken anything to any of the consignment sales. Every year I say I'm going to, then something comes up and I forget about it. I already have stuff set aside for it, now just have to get it tagged and ready to go!
ReplyDeleteIt sounds silly I know, but we have this habit of putting money in savings when we get paid, then transferring it right back out at the end of the month!
ReplyDeleteWe have several huge fall and spring kids' consignment sales here every year. We have sold a bunch of stuff at yard sales last summer, but the consignment sales are a way for us to get rid of stuff now instead of it sitting in our basement for months!
ReplyDeleteHi! I found your blog via the Fantastic Friday link-up...and when I saw your post on London, I knew I was in the right place! I, too, love London (some would say to an irrational degree), and even studied abroad there in college. The Tower is one of my must-see places as well. Have you ever been to the closing ceremony? It's definitely worth seeing if you haven't already. I'm always happy to meet a fellow Anglophile! I hope we can be blog buddies! :) www.cosmosmariners.com
ReplyDeleteI have a sometimes unhealthy obsession with London and England myself! I studied abroad in Lincolnshire my junior year of college and desperately want to go back. So glad to have "met" you!
ReplyDeleteOh, love the idea of monthly goals. May be in store for me, too! Great idea.
ReplyDeleteHA! ahahahahaa.....the savings ones are killing me. I can so relate.
ReplyDeleteUgh. It sucks doesn't it?
ReplyDeleteI love the put 100 in savings and then keep 100 in savings....wow! This sounds like me. I like that you are doing monthly goals. I may steal this idea.
ReplyDeleteI love medieval history! I would love to visit a castle one day =)
ReplyDeleteGo for it! It's been something I have seen on other blogs and something I've been thinking about doing for awhile now. I figure that with the new year and all, might as well go ahead and start!
ReplyDeleteI like how simple and exact your goals are. I look forward to following along in 2014 to see how your goals change and are met. Thank you for linking up!
ReplyDeleteLove these well-defined goals! Hope you report back and link up for February tomorrow!
