Cameron Four, Five and Six Months

I had intended to write posts for when Cameron turned four and five months, but life happens and I just haven't had the time or the inclination to blog.

The day after he turned three months, he latched to me and hasn't looked back. Thank goodness because I honestly don't know how much longer I could've dealt with the nursing shield. It. Sucked. Now he's such a happy kid, always smiling and laughing unless he's hungry. I still have to hold him pretty much all the time but I am able to put him in the bouncer to get a shower in without him screaming.

He started this screeching thing right around Thanksgiving, as well as grabbing your hair. He loves to grab your hair while sucking his thumb. Ouch! I know he's a baby, but man does it hurt. He has been in six month clothes for probably a month now and he's my only kid to not follow the sizes exactly. Makes it interesting to buy clearance for the next year!

He's been drooling and teething for awhile now and his first tooth finally poked through yesterday. He's can't quite sit up yet but he sure tries. We've been putting him in the high chair at dinner for about a week or so and he loves sitting there with us. A couple days ago I smashed a few green beans with my fingers to see what he'd do with them and he didn't even notice they were there. This weekend we're gonna try solids for real and see what happens. I'm not that concerned if he doesn't eat right at six months though. Cecily didn't until she was 7-8 months so it wouldn't be a surprise.

I feel like I blinked and all the sudden he's a half year old. In the thick of it the days are long but it has flown by so quickly. I know I'm gonna blink again and we'll be celebrating his first birthday!
