A few months ago, I saw a review of a VoxBox on another blog and was intrigued by Influenster so I signed up. Imagine my surprise when I found out I was receiving my very first VoxBox! When I received that orange box in the mail, I couldn't wait to open it and I was so excited when I did.
Inside were all sorts of goodies!
belVita Breakfast Biscuits $3.69 for a box of 5 packets of 4 biscuits
I was intrigued by these as I have seem them at the store before, but I always thought of them as "diet food" and therefore gross. Boy was I surprised! The ones I received were Cinnamon Brown Sugar and they were yummy. I took them out in the field for work and they definitely made a great mid-morning snack while surveying farms. I can't wait to try other flavors!
NECTRESSE $3.99 for a box of 40 packets
My mom is a diabetic, so I am well versed in the land of artificial sweeteners and sugar substitutes. I was most excited about this item because most sugar substitutes are some crazy chemical and are not good for you at all. I have heard of NECTRESSE before and knew it was a natural substitute so I couldn't wait to try it out. I used it in coffee, tea and even in my Easter cupcakes.
They were a success! While you could tell that they weren't made with actual sugar, everyone who tried them liked them. I will be using NECTRESSE again in future recipes.
Colgate Optic White Regimen $2.99 for 4 oz toothpaste, $2.99 for 8oz bottle and $2.99 per toothbrush
We already use Optic White toothpaste and love it because I got it a few months ago for almost free with coupons. So, when I saw the entire regimen was in my Vox Box, I was super excited to try it all. My mint-hating husband even likes it.
Dickinson's Original Witch Hazel Oil Controlling Towelettes $5.99 for 20-count box
I have mixed feelings about these. While they don't make my face dry out after use like most facial wipes, I cannot stand the smell of witch hazel so it's difficult to use these. I wouldn't recommend unless you can get over their smell.
Vaseline Spray & Go Moisturizer Total Moisture $7.99 for 6.5 oz can
I was a little skeptical of this product because it reminds me of spray on sunscreen, which I cannot stand. True to its claim, this lotion does not leave you oily. However, I have super dry skin in the winter and it did nothing to help it. It does, however, lessen the time it takes getting ready in the morning by about five minutes, which when you're responsible for getting two kids ready in the morning seems like an extra hour!
And there you have it, the Sugar n Spice VoxBox!
