Harry Potter

I do this to myself every time, and honestly, only one of the films I have seen since I read the books has met my expectations. That was Order of the Phoenix. Loved the book, loved the film. Was super impressed with the battle in the Ministry of Magic, everything about the film was great even though it was the longest book yet shortest film.

Alan and I saw The Deathly Hallows Part I yesterday and, I dunno. I wasn't disappointed, exactly. It followed the book very well, probably the best out of all the films. Yet, I left unimpressed, apathetic. Yes. That's it. Apathetic describes my reaction perfectly.

It was what I expected, but it didn't evoke a strong emotion out of me at all. I didn't love it, but I didn't hate it either, which has been the case with all of the other films. Maybe it's because it stopped mid book and now everyone has to wait until July to see the rest. Maybe it's because there's not a lot of action until they go to Gringott's. Maybe it's because I'm 9 months pregnant and have so much else on my mind.

I guess I have until July to figure it out.
